  • New  Working Breakfast: Web positioning in tourism
  • Within the framework of its Working Breakfasts 2008, CINNTA, together with the Consejería de Turismo, Comercio y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía and the Patronato de Turismo de Córdoba, will hold a new edition focused in Web positioning in tourism in Córdoba on the 27Th of October. It will be a friendly meeting aiming at presenting direct toward giving the most innovative tools for tourism order to develop successful marketing, e-commerce and promotional strategies. The Internet boom as source of information and the generalization of the use of search engines has become a challenge for companies in order to get visibility on the web. Nuño Valenzuela is SEO & Search Engines Marketing Manager in Muchoviaje.com and pioneer in successful web positioning strategies. He will present this Working Breakfast and exchange experiences with de rest of participants.

  • The CINNTA members recently approuved the Foundation’s Action Plan. The document presents CINNTA’s main objectives, activities and working method, as well as its main funding sources. To visualise the document please follow this link.

  • Conference and consultacy session on Tourism and E-Commerce
  • This event, which will take place on 15 September, aims to promote the use of e-commerce as a strategic tool for tourism promotion and marketing. The ultimate goal is to improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector, in particular, of tourism companies and destinations. The topics addressed in the conference will include the state of play of e-commerce in the tourism field, available e-commerce and e-marketing tools, such as website check, interactive content, communication and education, on-line selling strategies: traffic generation and affiliate programmes. The speakers will also tackle the last trends on these issues and the importance and benefits of making allies. Participants can also register to get individual advice in the afternoon in collaboration with the specialised consultancy firm Barrabés Internet.

  • I Workshop on Tourism and Free Software. Tourism Innovation.
  • On 22 May the Centro de Innovación Turística de Andalucía, in partnership with the Consejería de Turismo, Comercio y Deporte of the Junta de Andalucía, organised the I Workshop on Tourism and Open Source. The main objective was to present the economic and practical advantages of the open source and provide a new forum for the exchange of views between the tourism and the technology sectors. The results were particularly sucessful thanks to the participation of experts such as Juan Tomás Molina, responsible for institutional relations at Linux, Miguel Vázquez, Executive Director at Fotón, Moisés Rubiño, Head of the Systems Unit at Turismo Andaluz and José Ramón Alberola, Director General at Worldnet21.
    Alejandro Romero Morales, responsible for the Novapyme programme in Málaga, and Nuria García Martínez, consultant at the Red de Espacios Tecnológicos de Andalucía (RETA) specialised in ITC introduced the current opportunities for advice and funding in Andalusia.
    All the speakers and participants exchganed further views and proposals during the round table.

  • International Conference on Tourism: 'The knowledge as added value
    of tourism destinations'. Registration and call for contributions open.
  • The International Conference on Tourism 'The knowledge as added value of tourism destinations' will take place on 29-31 October in Málaga. The deadline for registrations and the call for scientifc contributions are now open. A draft list of participants will be published between the 1^st and the 10^th October.
    This event will be the first step to put in place an international network of experts in tourism and economy, which will be lead by the Andalusian Center for Tourism Innovation (CINNTA).

  • Working Breakfast The past 15 May took place the working breakfast called: 'Tourism 2.0: Business and tourism destination management in an open scenario'. During this session tourism companies was advised on the best tips to make the web 2.0 their ally. This is the third of the series of working breakfasts 2008 organised by CINNTA in partnership with Turismo Andaluz and the Consejería de Turismo, Comercio y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía, with a dynamic interactive format and the participation of leading experts in innovation.
